You’ve chosen LED track lighting for your office, store or showroom — a smart choice, as you already save significantly on energy costs. But did you know that dimmable track lighting can give you even more efficiency? By dimming your track spots, you extend the lifespan, save additional energy and create the right atmosphere for every situation.

How does dimming track lighting work?

Good news: both 1-phase track lighting and multi-phase systems can be dimmed. All you need are dimmable LED spots and a suitable LED dimmer. Install the dimmable track spots on the rail, connect the dimmer to the power feed, and you can immediately control the light intensity. Make sure your spots and dimmer are compatible — not every LED dimmer works with every LED spot. That’s why it’s recommended to purchase the LED dimmer and dimmable GU10 spots from the same brand.

Dimming offers more than ambiance control. Reduce the light level by 20–30%, and you immediately cut energy consumption — plus your LED lamps can last up to 40% longer. Ideal for warehouses or offices where lighting doesn’t always need to run at full power.

Smart spots: dim via your smartphone

Want even more control over your lighting? Choose smart spots combined with a smart controller. This lets you dim your track lighting via an app on your smartphone, wherever you are. Set schedules, automatically switch off lights after working hours, and adjust brightness without going to the switch.

Consider these benefits:

● Set schedules: lights turn on and off automatically, even when you’re not there

● Remote dimming: adjust the atmosphere from your office or home workspace

● Energy monitoring: some systems show how much power you save

This is especially useful in retail and showrooms. Dim the lighting during quiet hours and increase brightness during events. The result: lower energy costs and optimal lighting for every occasion.
